French Toast Bistro-style

French Toast Bistro style..... yum for breakfast, dessert or an appetizer dish!


Grab your favorite thick crusty loaf bread of your choosing (and ideally slice yourself) and dredge in the batter below.  (For our classes, we use our 'everything seasoning' bread)

Ingredients:
4 slices of bread of your choosing
1-2 eggs
1 TBSP of heavy cream
1 tsp of orange zest
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp of bacon infused sea salt
(1/2 tsp of dry French herb blend) optional

Soak your bread into the batter above and once bread in browned on both sides, turn heat off and add 1 TSBP of butter to melt into the warm bread before plating.  Top the French toast with warmed berries & powdered sugar or syrup as desired
